This car, originally JW Automotive's chassis # 026, was drove at Le Mans in 1970 by David Hoobs and Mike Hailwood, qualifying 10th  and after 3 hours was already 3rd in the standings when in the heavy rain Carlo Facetti on the wheel of the prototype Alfa Romeo T33 / 3 lost control and bumped the barriers at Dunlop corner bouncing on the track, Hailwood who came up could not escape the Alfa and crashed against him. The car was later rebuilt at the factory using chassis and bodywork #031,  the finished car being given the original #026 chassis number by JW Automotive. Towards the end of 1970 JW Automotive raced the rebuilt # 026/031 at Österreichring 1000Km, and won in the hands of Jo Siffert and Brian Redman. The following year finished second in the 24-hour Le Mans by Richard Attwood and Herbert Müller. In the winter of 1971, the car was converted into spyder and sold to Ernst Kraus who used it for the Boeri Racing Team in the Interseries 1972. Sold later to Vasek Polak the car was bring back in the Le Mans 1971 configuration.

Questa macchina, originariamente telaio # 026 della scuderia JW Automotive, fu guidata a Le Mans nel 1970 da David Hoobs e Mike Hailwood, si qualificò al 10° posto ed era già al 3° posto in classifica dopo 3 ore di gara quando sotto la pioggia pesante Carlo Facetti alla guida del prototipo Alfa Romeo T33/3  perse il controllo e urtò le barriere rimbalzando in pista, Hailwood che sopraggiungeva non riuscì ad evitare l'Alfa e gli si schiantò contro. L'auto è stata in seguito ricostruita in fabbrica utilizzando telaio e carrozzeria #031, alla vettura finita venne assegnato il numero di telaio originale #026 da parte della JW Automotive. Verso la fine del 1970 JW Automotive iscrisse la #026/031 ricostruita alla 1000Km Österreichring, e vinse nelle mani di Jo Siffert e Brian Redman. L'anno successivo concluse al secondo posto la 24 ore di Le Mans con alla guida Richard Attwood e Herbert Müller. Nell’inverno del 1971, la vettura fu convertita in spyder e venduta a Ernst Kraus che la utilizzò per il Boeri Racing Team nell’interserie 1972. Venduta in seguito a Vasek Polak fu riportata nella configurazione Le Mans 1971.
