Coppa Intereuropa, Monza 2015 Lancia LC2-85 ch n°0007 - 1985
Completed in 1985, this was the last LC2 built for the factory Lancia Martini Racing team. It was pressed into service late in the year and was immediately driven to third at Brands Hatch 1000 Km by Bob Wollek, Andrea de Cesaris and Mauro Baldi. Its next outing was at the Monza 360 km early in 1986 with Andrea De Cesaris and Alessandro Nannini behind the wheel. They qualified the car on pole and ultimately finished 2nd. The two Italians also started from pole at Silverstone 1000Km a fortnight later but fuel pump issues brought an early end to the race. This LC2 was not raced again in contemporary events.

Completata nel 1985, questa è stata l'ultima LC2 costruita per la scuderia Lancia Martini Racing team. Ha iniziato a gareggiare verso la fine dell’anno ed è stata immediatamente portata al terzo posto nella 1000 Km di Brands Hatch da Bob Wollek, Andrea de Cesaris e Mauro Baldi. La corsa successiva è stata la 360 Km di Monza all'inizio del 1986 con Andrea De Cesaris e Alessandro Nannini al volante. Hanno qualificato l'auto in pole position e alla fine hanno raggiunto il secondo posto. I due italiani partirono anche dalla pole alla 1000Km di Silverstone due settimane dopo, ma a causa della rottura della pompa della benzina non hanno portato a termine la gara. Questa LC2 non ha più gareggiato in altri eventi.

Nice book, full of very useful information for those who want to deepen their knowledge on the technical and historical aspects related to this type of cars. The themes of aerodynamics and its development over the years until the advent of the ground effect, the construction techniques of the frames, including those in composite materials, suspensions, brakes and transmissions, are explained in great detail. The part relating to the engines is also very interesting. The text is written in English, is very fluent and is accompanied by several photographs, all in black and white. It is definitely recommended for all fans, especially those of historic cars.

Bel libro, ricco di informazioni molto utili per che vuole approfondire la conoscenza sugli aspetti tecnici e storici legati a questo tipo di vetture. I temi dell’aerodinamica e il suo sviluppo negli anni fino all’avvento dell’effetto suolo, le tecniche di costruzione dei telai, compresi quelli in materiali compositi, di sospensioni, freni e trasmissioni, sono spiegati in modo molto dettagliato. Molto interessante anche la parte relativa ai propulsori. Il testo è scritto in inglese, è molto scorrevole ed è corredato da parecchie fotografie, tutte in bianco e nero. E’ un libro sicuramente consigliato a tutti gli appassionati, in particolare di auto storiche.
